Hibernian Football Club are delighted to confirm that Curtis Sport are our new Programme Partners.
For the past three seasons the club worked with ProgrammeMaster on our official matchday programme, which is now titled The Hibee, and we would like to thank them for the work undertaken collaboratively to improve the programme for our supporters.
The move also sees Hibernian working with Curtis Sport again, with the company producing the club’s matchday programme from 2012 until the end of the 2015/16 season.
This season’s design evokes the spirit of the iconic The Hibee cover with a modern twist, including the classic sloped design. The sloped effect runs throughout the programme, ensuring that there is a consistency throughout the read for our supporters.
Like the past three campaigns, the programme will be 68 pages long and priced at £3.
For the Betfred Cup Group C matches we will have shorter versions of the programme available on sale. A 36 page edition will be available for £2 at Saturday’s game with Alloa Athletic, while on Tuesday 23 July there will be a fixtures poster with some pieces of content available to purchase for just £1 ahead of the match against Arbroath.
As usual, we have a variety of different features from our team of writers included again this campaign, including unique content for matches in cup competitions.
Our returning features include; the main player feature, ‘Looking Back’, ‘Hibernian Development Squad’, ‘Hibernian Ladies’, the Hibernian Historical Trust articles, ‘Club News’, ‘Today’s Visitors’, ‘Last Word With…’ and Paul Heckingbottom’s column.
Some of the new features include:
2 in 1 – A feature on Hibernian players who scored hat-tricks in two or more matches during a single season for the club
Classic Programme – A look at a programme from a previous meeting against our opponents
What Hibs Mean to Me – Telling the story of a player who grew up supporting Hibernian and went on to play for the club
A to Z – We chat to both male and female players and run through the classic A to Z format
Hibernian Community Foundation – Articles on the work they are undertaking within the community and all the latest from the foundation
Story Behind the Friendly – Since 1875 Hibernian have played in a wide array of friendly matches. We take a look at the stories behind a few of them and how the games came to be played
For domestic cup fixtures only we will also include ‘Unlikeliest Heroes’ telling the tale of a player or manager who defied the odds and came up trumps at the right moment and a rotating feature for another season, with those pages being free to be used for interviews on special feats, player interviews, or features that tie in with that game.
John Stephens, PR & Media Executive, said: “We are really pleased to be working with Curtis Sport again. As a company they really understand the Scottish football market and have brought our ideas for this season’s edition to life.
“Once again I feel like we are producing another great product and a lot of thanks goes to our talented contributors for the season ahead. Hopefully the supporters like the design, the articles and the product.”
Stuart Curtis, owner of Curtis Sport, added: “Curtis Sport are delighted and proud to be working with Hibernian again this season.
“We are looking forward to the season ahead and hope that supporters enjoy reading the new look programme.”
