Hibernian continue their defence of the SSE Scottish Women’s Cup this afternoon as they make the short trip to Oriam to take on city rivals Hearts.
Grant Scott’s side began their cup campaign on Wednesday night with an impressive 5-0 win against Stirling University at Penicuik Park.
They now face off against Hearts, who sit in second place in the SWPL 2.
The two sides last met in February 2018 in the first round of the SWPL Cup with Hibernian coming out victorious with a 4-0 away win.
In the third round, Hearts struck 24 goals past Raith Rovers.
However, the SSE Scottish Cup holders since 2016 are aware of the threat they pose going into Sunday’s match.
Grant said: "It’ll be a tough match - you know they’re flying. They're winning a lot of matches and have some experienced players in there from the SWPL 1.
“We’ll do everything we can to prepare properly and hopefully put on a performance again.”
Over 300 supporters were in attendance for Wednesday night’s victory and Rachael Boyle is hoping for a similar turnout to come out and cheer on the side again.
She said: “We’re looking forward to it. We knew going into the Stirling match that if we did the job that we’d be going into an Edinburgh Derby at the weekend.
“The fans turned out so hopefully they can come back along and support the team on Sunday.”
It all gets underway at 3:30pm at Oriam (EH14 4AS) with tickets costing £3/£1.
