Hibernian Development Squad defender Josh Doig is celebrating a first-ever Scotland call-up.
The 17-year-old - who has caught the eye of the first-team coaching staff since signing in the summer - has been named in Billy Stark's Scotland Under-18 squad for an international tournament taking place later this month in Istanbul, Turkey.
Josh said: "I was delighted when I heard because it will be the first time I've been involved with Scotland at any level.
"I think I'm like every other young Scottish player who dreams of playing for their country one day and this is obviously a small step in that direction.
"I'm grateful to have been given the opportunity and I want to make the most of it when I join up with the squad.
"I definitely made the right decision to come to Hibernian and this is another example why. I already feel like I'm improving as a player and an athlete.
"I'm learning a lot every day from the coaches and the rest of the staff around HTC. I feel very lucky."
