Our Development Squad were back in action this week and turned in a battling performance in a 1-1 draw with Celtic’s second-string at Lennoxtown.
There was another run-out for right-back Tom James as he steps up his return from injury – building on his appearance for Lee Makel’s side against Rangers.
Fraser Murray caught the eye and came close to opening the scoring with a blocked shot.
He was to prove influential when the young Hibees took the lead on the half-hour mark.
His pinpoint corner found Josh Campbell, who timed his run to perfection and made no mistake with his header.
Celtic, to their credit, upped the ante and got back on level terms on 54 minutes.
Armstrong Oko-Flex earned a penalty before dusting himself down to score from the spot.
The Development Squad line up against Hamilton on Monday 23 September at the Hibernian Training Centre.
It’s a 2pm kick-off with entry via a donation to the Hibernian Academy.
