Today Hibernian Ladies welcome recently-crowned Scottish Women's Premier League champions Glasgow City to Ainslie Park.
City secured their 13th consecutive title with a win over Motherwell on Wednesday.
They travel to Edinburgh to face a Hibernian side that they will meet again in next month’s SSE Scottish Women’s Cup Final at Tynecastle Park.
Hibernian midfielder Rachael Boyle acknowledges her side are in for a tough test, but reckons these are the games they relish.
She said: “It is always our toughest games of the season when we play City but if you don’t look forward to it as a Hibs player then you are at the wrong club.
“Everyone wants to be challenging themselves against the best.”
With a Champions League match in the horizon for City, a changed side could be seen from the visitors now that their title challenge is wrapped up.
However, Boyle recognises the squad depth available to Scott Booth.
Boyle added: “I think they have the strength and depth to play anyone in their starting 11. I know their players will be solely focused on us come Sunday, but I would imagine their management team will have one eye looking ahead towards Brondby.”
Last weekend’s win over Rangers meant it was 10 wins in a row domestically for Grant Scott’s side.
It's a record they hope to add to in this weekend's clash.
Scott has a lot of respect for City’s achievements and agreed with Boyle that it’s one of the games the team look forward to.
He said: “We always look forward to games against City. It’s a strange thing to say potentially, two rivals going head to head.
“We respect them a lot for everything they’ve achieved, for the team that they are and for the way they try and play football.
“It’s always a difficult contest for sure but it’s an enjoyable football match normally so we’re looking forward to it.”
The action gets underway at Ainslie Park at 4pm and tickets are available on the gate at £5 for adults and £3 for concessions.
