Hibernian Ladies can confirm that Jamie-Lee Napier has left the club with immediate effect.
Jamie-Lee signed in January 2018 and helped guide Hibernian to two SWPL Cups, the SSE Scottish Women’s Cup and qualification for the Round of 32 in this year’s UEFA Women’s Champions League.
Jamie-Lee was also the recipient of the Scottish Building Society SWPL One Player of the Year for the 2019 season.
In 2018’s SSE Scottish Women’s Cup Final, Jamie-Lee impressively scored a hat-trick against Motherwell.
During her time with the Hibees she also represented the club at international level.
After making the initial breakthrough at Under-19 level, her progress was rewarded with a first senior call-up in August.
It was not an easy decision for Jamie-Lee to move on, having taken the club to her heart.
She said: “It hasn’t been an easy decision but I’ve been given an opportunity that I can’t turn down.
“I have loved every minute of my time at Hibernian. I’ve made so many unforgettable memories with my teammates and staff, who have become like a second family to me.
“I want to thank everyone who helped and supported me along the way.
“I truly wouldn’t be the player or person I am today without being at this club. They have helped develop me massively both on and off the pitch.
“I wish everyone all the best next season and in the future. It was a pleasure being a Hibee.”
Head Coach Grant Scott added: "While we're naturally disappointed to lose a player with Jamie-Lee's talent, we wish her every success in her career.
"Her drive, effort and desire to perform are second to none and, to top it off, she is a terrific person who is always positive.
"Jamie-Lee has given her all for the team in her time with us and her progression into one of the most formidable opponents in our league has been quite simple incredible.
"This girl has everything to make it all the way to the top."
Everyone at the club would like to thank Jamie-Lee for her dedication, professionalism and work-rate.
We wish her all the best for the next challenge ahead.
