Hibernian Ladies are delighted to announce the signing of Sophie Allison.
The goalkeeper is the second addition to the squad ahead of the 2020 Scottish Women’s Football season.
The 18-year-old had previously played for Glasgow City, playing her football within the academy ranks.
Sophie was delighted to complete her move to the club. She said: "I wasn't expecting this offer to come in but when it did I couldn't turn it down.
"I'm really excited to get started.
"Hibernian are one of the best clubs in Scotland. There are many experienced players here who will help me improve.
"When I played against Hibernian last season, I knew Dean was a good coach as his team always played well.
"You just knew Dean had the right plan and tactics in place so it was an easy decision to come here."
Head Coach Dean Gibson was delighted to add the goalkeeper to the squad. He said: “Sophie is an extremely talented young goalkeeper who has a big future in the game.
“She fits the exact criteria of what we look for in a Hibernian player - young, hungry, talented and ambitious.
“While she is young, she is ready and will compete with Jeni for the goalkeeper jersey.
“I came up against Sophie three times last season and each game she made unbelievable saves in the match.
“I am excited to bring a player in with the potential Sophie has. I’m fully confident she will continue to develop under the guidance of Chris Flockhart. I look forward to working with her during the season ahead.”
