Hibernian Chairman Ronald Gordon tonight unveiled our five-year strategic plan to shareholders at the Annual General Meeting.
From his first day at Easter Road Stadium, the ambition has been clear.
This club must be the best club it can be – on and off the pitch.
Every area was analysed, fuelled by a desire to give supporters a Hibernian they can be proud of and to build on the progress made in recent years.
In short, we’ve been listening.
We’re confident you’ll recognise that in the proposals that will be brought to life in the coming weeks and months.
He touches on a desire to achieve consistent success domestically as an established top-four club, with a regular presence in continental competition.
To have a local commitment - with a lean, quality-laden squad augmented by a refreshed Academy system – combined with a global outlook, tapping into international club partnerships and scouting new territories.
One goal is to double the player budget by 2023, at a time when we are spending more on the first-team squad than at any other point in the club’s history.
To do that we want to increase the turnover by 50 per cent by 2023 and by 100 per cent by 2025.
We hope to achieve that by packing out a new-look Easter Road – complete with a new audio system and big screen – as part of an initial £1-million investment into our home.
We will be cranking up the volume in time for the new season.
The demand for first-class service will run from our new in-house kiosks to a range of hospitality packages.
Increased revenue streams will help fund all aspects of an ambitious vision that we are determined to realise.
#WeAreAllHibs will be more than a marketing slogan.
We want you with us and we think you’ll like what you see.
