The final preparations are being put in place for Jack Ross and his Hibernian players to return to training ahead of the new season.
Since the suspension of Scottish football in March, the club has adhered strictly to the guidance of the Scottish Government, Scottish FA and the SPFL. We are hopeful of being able to kick off the new campaign in August.
A core group of first-team players and staff will begin work on their pre-season programme from Monday at the Hibernian Training Centre.
We know you are looking forward to getting behind the team again and we are doing everything we can to facilitate that. With that being said, we need your help and understanding at this crucial stage.
The Scottish Government has made it clear that any gathering of supporters – whether it’s at a training ground or stadium – could result in the delay of plans to restart Scottish football. We all still have a shared responsibility to assist the NHS in curbing the spread of coronavirus.
With that in mind, there will be no access to HTC for supporters and we would ask that you don’t attempt to gain entry. The same applies to any congregation at closed-door games, while we build towards getting you back to games in person.
There will be a time for autographs and selfies again and we thank you for your patience and continued support in the meantime.
Over the coming weeks you’ll hear all the latest from Jack and the players via Hibs TV and our social media channels.
We look forward to seeing you all soon.
