Sol Bamba has been selected in a new-look Ivory Coast squad for their 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Rwanda on Saturday (4 September, kick off 4pm local time).

The big central defender, who has won 17 caps for his country, has been picked by new coach Francois Zahoui, but the Elephants star striker Didier Drogba is absent after being permitted time away from international football.

Meanwhile, this afternoon (kick off 4pm GMT) both Paul Hanlon and David Wotherspoon will be aiming to help Scotland's under-21 side defeat Belarus in a must-win European Championship qualifier in Minsk.

Heading into the match, Billy Stark's side are level on points with third-placed Belarus and just one point behind group leaders Austria, who Scotland face at Pittodrie on Tuesday (7 September, kick off 4pm, cash gate: £5 adult and £2 child or concession).

Summer signing David Stephens is in line to make his second appearance for the Wales under-21 side in their European Championship qualifier against Hungary at the Sostoi Stadium, Székesfehérváron Saturday (4 September, kick off 5.30pm local time).
