A NEW exhibition charting the history of the beautiful game in Scotland's capital, will open again by popular demand on Wednesday 8 September, 6.30pm till 8.00pm.
'The Changing Face of Easter Road' is latest exhibition created by The Hibernian Historical Trust.
In addition to charting the birth of the game in Edinburgh, the exhibition illustrates 27 football grounds across the city, including the early homes of Hibernian.
Highlights of the exhibition include maps, supplied by the National Library of Scotland, showing the location of the very first Easter Road Stadium and the subsequent move to its current location in Albion Place, together with Architect's drawings of all of the pavilions and grandstands that have been built at the home of Hibernian.
The exhibition also contains many interesting artefacts and stories, including the proposal made in the early twentieth century to move the Hibernian grounds away from Easter Road.
The exhibition is being held in the Gallery, West Stand, Hibernian Football Club, and is open on Wednesday 8 September 6.30pm till 8.00pm. Admission is free. Visit the Hibernian Historical Trust website here
