Hibernian can confirm Matt Doherty has joined the club on loan from Wolves until the end of the season.
Doherty, 20, reunites with boss Pat Fenlon, who managed the young Irishman at Bohemians before he moved to Molineux in July 2010.
The defender made his English Premier League debut against Liverpool in September and is a highly-rated young playerwho can play at right-back or centre-half.
Doherty says he is excited about working with Fenlon again and admits the prospect of potentially playing regular football proved irresistible.
Doherty said: "I'm excited about playing for Hibs and about working with Pat again. He has given me a chance to get some game-time and I'm looking forward to it.
"Hopefully playing first team football week in, week out will benefit me in many ways.
"My aim is to do well as I can for Hibs and then go back and challenge for a first team place at Wolves next season."
