Pat Fenlon speaks to Hibernian TV about the fitness of James McPake and his appreciation of the club's supporters heading into Sunday's important SPL match at Inverness (1 April, kick off 3pm).

McPake missed last weekend's defeat at the hands of Dundee United after aggravating a back injury.

But boss Fenlon says he is optimistic McPake will be available for selection after the centre-half resumed full squad training (today).

Fenlon said: "James has trained today and will train again tomorrow, so he will be available for the weekend - he should be okay.

"It's been a good week. We had a good session this morning and the players worked hard. We've got another session tomorrow and a lot of work left to do, but we will be ready by Sunday afternoon."

The trip north to the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium presents the longest journey for Hibernian's 'awayday' regulars and Fenlon praised their commitment to the team in green.

He added: "They've been fantastic all season, whether we've been home or away. I met a lot of them at the function the other night (Supporter's Association Player of the Year night) and they were very honest with me about their opinions.

"A lot of them told me they travel home and away to watch the team and you could see that they love the football club.

"My message to them is: Keep giving us what you've been giving. The support away from home has been terrific.

"They've got behind the team and that's all we need. We need to stick together and we'll get ourselves out of this problem with them (supporters) with us.

"Then we can kick on and give them better times ahead hopefully."
