Hibernian legends have joined forces with former Hearts players for a very good cause - The Craig Gowans Memorial Match against Hutchison Vale at Saughton on Sunday (10 June), kick off 2pm.

Keith Wright will line up alongside Darren Jackson, Gareth Evans, John Hughes and Gordon Hunter in a mixed Hibs-Hearts team with Kenny Clark refereeing the showpiece friendly.

The match will be the main event in a special day designed to commemorate former Falkirk player Craig, who tragically passed away in July 2005 with the memorial fund subsequently set-up in 2007.

Well-kent Hibee Grant Stott will host the afternoon while in the morning (10.15am) there will be an eight-team under-10s tournament featuring teams representing Hutchie, Leith Athletic, Spartans, Musselburgh Windsor, Edina Hibs, Stewart's Melville, Currie Star and Cavalry Park.

Refreshments will be available throughout the day and there will be a crossbar challenge as well as a variety of other have-a-go distractions including an auction.

It promises to be a special day of football in Edinburgh and, with all funds raised going to the Memorial Fund, it is all for a worthwhile cause, so please support the event.
