Congratulations to Sammy Stanton on being called into the Scotland under-19 squad for the forthcoming friendly against Germany at Falkirk on Tuesday 14 August (kick off 2pm, admission: Adults £5, children free).

The teenage Leither, 18, previously represented Scotland at under-18 level against Serbia in April and has since gone on to score his first-ever goal at first team level in a friendly against Zeeland Select earlier on in the month.

Stanton, a lifelong Hibernian supporter, said: "I'm delighted to be called up into the Scotland under-19 squad. Now I'm looking forward to playing and it should be a good experience."

Stanton, who made his SPL bow as a substitute at Rangers in January, will feature for Hibernian under-20s against Selkirk at Yarrow Park tonight (kick off 6.30pm).
