James McDonaugh says he was pleased with the positives from Hibernian under-20s' 2-0 friendly win over Falkirk in Stirling on Friday.

Goals from Alex 'Boozy' Harris and Jay Doyle ensured the young team in bottle green kept themselves ticking over before their next league match against St Mirren at home (venue tbc) in seven days (21 August).

Jay Doyle: Scored in 2-0 friendly win at Falkirk

McDonaugh said: "It was a good game with both teams playing passing football. I made nine changes to the team that started against Ross County and I was happy with the positive performances from the younger players.

"The win continues our good run and, after losing our first pre-season game, we are now 10 unbeaten. It shows the strength and quality we have in what looks a promising period for the team."
