Leigh Griffiths' impressive SPL form has earned the young striker a recall into Scotland's under-21 squad, alongside team-mates Paul Hanlon and David Wotherspoon, for the final double-header in the team's UEFA Championship qualifying campaign.
The 22-year-old scored three goals in the opening three matches of the new season to persuade Scotland under-21 boss Billy Stark that his performances merited a call-up for the first time since November 2011.
Stark said: "A big positive for us is the form of our front line. Leigh Griffiths and Johnny Russell are doing very well for their clubs just now and Tony Watt showed what we can do at the top level; scoring a double for Celtic at the weekend."
Scotland kick off the double-header with a home match against Luxembourg at St Mirren Park on Thursday 6 September, kick off 7.45pm (Adults: £8, kids: £2) followed by a game against Austria in Altech on Monday 10 September, kick off 6.30pm.
Congratulations to Leigh, Paul and David on earning international recognition and everybody connected with Hibernian wishes them all the best for the double-header next week.
