Hibernian under-20s are back in action tomorrow night against Motherwell at Fir Park (kick off 7pm, Adults: £3, Concessions (under-16s): £2) and James McDonaugh says the players are in an upbeat mood after drawing with Sunderland.
Last week, the under-20s travelled south to take on the English Premier League club's Development squad at Sunderland's training ground.
In a competitive and beneficial game, Hibernian under-20s took the lead when Euan Smith cut the ball back from the right wing for Alex 'Boozy' Harris to score.
Hibernian under-20s: Grant, Black, Wilson, Donaldson, Crane, Horribine, Gold, Monaghan, Paul, Smith, Harris
Subs: Doyle, Baptie, Martynuik, Horne.
Afterwards, Head of Academy Coaching McDonaugh gave his players a glowing appraisal and said: "It was a good game and a decent performance - setting us up well for Motherwell on Tuesday night."
Heading into the next fixture, Hibernian under-20s have already beaten Ross County and St Mirren in their opening two games and will be aiming for that positive start to continue at Fir Park.
If you can make it through then please go and cheer on the under-20s at Fir Park tomorrow night; your support will be appreciated by James and the lads.
