Pat Fenlon informs Hibernian TV viewers that he is still aiming to strengthen the squad - even after the closure of the summer transfer window.
Ryan McGivern moved to Easter Road on loan from Manchester City just hours before the deadline to become the club's ninth signing of the window.
But boss Fenlon reveals that plans are still ongoing to add even more players and further strengthen his new-look squad.
Speaking exclusively to Hibernian TV, Fenlon said: "There are a lot of players out there, and players are still being put to us every day and on a regular basis.
"We need to be mindful of where we are financially as well - we've got to make sure that we can balance the books as well as bring players in.
"So far I think the business we have done has been very good. Since the end of last season we said we were going to change the squad around, but we wouldn't sign players just for the sake of signing players.
"I think when I came in last year we had 29 first team players, at the moment we probably have about 19 or 20 so that's a big changeover.
"But I believe the quality we have at the moment is very good. We're always looking to improve the squad no matter whether the window is closed or open, as I said we've tried to set up our own new scouting network that we are in the process of doing at the moment.
"We need to make sure that we cover all angles, we know the areas where we would like to strengthen the team over a period of time and we've continued to do that."
Fenlon's overall summary of the club's dealings during the window was that he was satisfied with the way it had all panned out and the manager believes he has recruited some real quality.
He added: "I'm delighted with the squad we've ended up with; we've got some really good players in there and their good professionals.
"So I'm very pleased with what's happened. Obviously some players left the club, one or two we would probably in another time we would have liked to keep and to try and develop.
"But at the moment we just need to make sure we are competitive and we've got good players around the club and we're still looking to add to it to be honest.
"There is one area where we are a little bit short and we'll try and strengthen that if we can."
