Leigh Griffiths sparked Scotland's UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualification hopes into life with a well-taken goal in the team's 3-0 win over Luxembourg at St Mirren on Thursday night.
The 22-year-old striker was recalled into Billy Stark's squad after impressing with some fine performances for Hibernian during the opening month of the season - including scoring three goals from the opening three games.
Alongside Paul Hanlon, Griffiths performed superbly and scored Scotland's second goal on the night to set up a massively important game against Austria in Altach on Monday.
It was the first time Griffiths had been capped at under-21 level since November 2011 and the lively Leither is expected to retain his spot for the game at the Cashpoint Arena.
Skipper Hanlon reached the 22-cap mark for the under-21s while David Wotherspoon is now eligible to play again against Austria after sitting out the Luxembourg game through suspension.
