Around 80% of Hibernian's supporters enjoy discounted access to Easter Road Stadium on matchdays as the Club continues to try to keep the price of football affordable.

Despite challenging financial times, the Club saw a high proportion of supporters take advantage of early payment plans to spread the cost of their season tickets - and also offering early bird subscribers all home cup matches as part of the price, real added value.

The Club also offers payment plan options to help supporters spread the cost of watching their team.

While media focus is often placed on the highest price entry point of £405 for a season ticket in the West and East Stands, or £28 for an adult category A walk-up and £22 for an adult at all other (category B) matches, little publicity is given to the wide range of ticket options on offer.

The average price actually paid for a Season Ticket membership at Easter Road is £236.

For season 2012-13, the ticket options included Hibs Kids season tickets from just £60, disabled season tickets from £120 with carers priced at £120, and Seniors (over 65 years at August 1 2012) from £140. Hibernian also offers discounted tickets to "futures" (those aged 12-18 and including students) from £95.

Other ticketing initiatives included free Hibs Kids Family tickets to the first 250 to sign up for the adult and concession package in the Famous Five Lower, with those taking the package in the West and East paying just £85.

All in all, a combination of adults taking advantage of early bird added value deals with the reduced prices on offer to the various concessions represents a very significant proportion of those attending Easter Road stadium on match days.

Hibs Kids memberships - which provide a range of benefits - are another great value way of our young supporters getting to watch their favourite team for free while galvanising our bond with our next generation of fans.

Hibs Kids memberships cost just £10 for the season and entitles the member to attend four Hibs Kids games for free while an accompanying adult pays £22.

Our commitment to making attending matches as affordable as possible extends to our walk up prices as well. Walk up prices for Category B matches have remained frozen for the fifth year in a row (Adult: £22, Concession: £12) while prices for Category A games have been frozen for the second year in row (Adults: £28, Concession: £14/£17).

Our efforts don't stop there. The Club also offers Kicks for Kids; an innovative scheme that was introduced almost a decade ago that has opened up the Hibernian experience to hundreds of local children.

Kicks for Kids allows supporters and businesses an opportunity to buy discounted tickets which are then donated and distributed to local underprivileged kids. Tickets are generously donated by supporters or by businesses. Last season 69 tickets were donated and this season there are over 200.

Working in partnership with the Hibernian Community Foundation, the Club has co-ordinated the allocation of complimentary tickets for home fixtures to charities in Edinburgh, the Lothians, the Borders and Fife.

For 10 games during the 2011/12 season, 82 different community and voluntary sector organisations were given 3,239 tickets. These tickets created and established strong connections with many of these groups and gave many people an opportunity to enjoy a Hibernian home game when they may not have had the chance otherwise.

BBC runs an annual 'Price of Football' survey. Hibernian declined to participate in the survey this year because the Club believes the survey does not accurately explain or explore the breadth of the ticket offers currently available to the supporters of different clubs, nor does it examine the investment made by Clubs in the facilities it offers supporters.
