Hibernian can confirm that teenage midfielder Harry Monaghan has joined Annan Athletic on loan until February.

The Glasgow-born midfielder, 19, has progressed up through the youth ranks and featured for the first team in the pre-season friendly at East Fife in July.

Monaghan says he is looking forward to the challenge.

Monaghan said: "I'm looking forward to playing for Annan and getting some first team football under my belt.

"It's a good opportunity for me and I believe the loan spell will be a great experience."

Annan are currently seventh in Division Three and face Rangers at Ibrox this evening (kick off 7.45pm).
