In preparation for the Europa League qualifying campaign Hibernian can confirm the Club will head to Southern Europe for a week long training camp that will include two games.

On Wednesday 3 July, kick-off 8.00pm, Hibernian - the first British club to participate in the European Cup - will face UEFA's 54th and newest members, the Gibraltar Football Association, in a challenge match.

Gibraltar - a British territory situated off southern Spain - were accepted as a full member of UEFA last month and will participate in the 2016 European Championships Qualifiers.

The match will be staged at Victoria Park, the 5,000-seat national stadium of the Gibraltar Football Association and Hibernian will be aiming to produce a solid performance on "The Rock".

Last summer the Gibraltar XI comfortably defeated both Portsmouth (4-0) and Notts County (3-1) in summer friendlies and it promises to be a tough test.

A second game has been arranged for Saturday 6 July, again with an 8.00pm kick-off . Further details of this match will be announced once the final approvals are in place but the location will be the Vila Real de Santo Antonio located just over the Portuguese border, on the east side of the Algarve.

Full details of the two-game trip (admission prices, etc) will be announced in due course on but we hope that this information will assist supporters wishing to make travel arrangements for these two matches.
