Hibernian Football Club would like to send our best wishes to Lewis Allan as he begins his recovery process following surgery to remove a bone cyst from his thoracic spine.
Lewis developed symptoms a few weeks ago and it became evident that the cyst required to be removed. Surgery was performed at the Western General Hospital earlier this month and the surgeons are anticipating a full recovery. It is expected that Lewis will return to training towards the end of February 2016.
The Allan family would like to express their sincere thanks to the skill and dedication of neurosurgeons Mr. Kahn and Mr. Statham, as well as Drs. Keston and Kelly, and Jane Nisbet and the rest of the staff on ward 33 at the Western General.
The forward, 19, was loaned to Forfar Athletic after appearing in the Petrofac Training Cup first round against Rangers at the beginning of the season.
Lewis scored once in eight matches for the Station Park side in the Ladbrokes League One match against Ayr United at Somerset Park.
Hibernian look forward to Lewis returning to the squad and will be aiding him throughout the recovery process.
