Lizzie Arnot came off the bench to assist a goal in Scotland’s sensational comeback victory over Poland on Tuesday afternoon.
Shelley Kerr’s side found themselves 2-0 down going into the final 12 minutes, where they scored three times to claim a vital three points.
Dzesika Jaszek’s first half goal and an own goal from Sophie Howard had Scotland trailing in Kielce.
Arnot was introduced in the 75th minute for Fiona Brown, with Scotland’s spirited fightback starting just three minutes later when Kim Little’s free-kick found its way into the back of the net.
Incredibly, Scotland levelled the game soon after. Lisa Evans’ cross found Arnot at the back post and the Hibernian winger picked out Jane Ross who drilled into the net.
Evans herself completed the comeback in injury-time, moving Scotland to within three points of group leaders Switzerland in the race to qualify automatically for the 2019 World Cup.
