We are delighted to announce that the 2018/19 programme will have the “new” name of The Hibee, which has been reproduced in its iconic style from the 1980s.
The first edition of The Hibee will be available around the ground ahead of kick-off on Thursday for our UEFA Europa League First Qualifying Round tie against NSÍ Runavík and will be priced at £3 for the 68-page programme.
Once again, the Club will be working with ProgrammeMaster, who also work with the likes of Fulham, West Ham United, Sheffield Wednesday and Queens Park Rangers, following a successful first two seasons in partnership.
A host of new features will be in place for the forthcoming season, with regular features returning, which include Neil Lennon’s column, Last Word With…, the Hibernian Historical Trust pages, our visitors feature, articles on both the Hibernian Development Squad and Hibernian’s SWPL team, Through the Lens, Club News, Hibs Kids Pages, and the main player feature – which will be Adam Bogdan for Thursday’s game.
New features for the forthcoming campaign include “90 Goals Through The Years” which looks at a goal per minute scored across our 125 years at Easter Road Stadium, “The Men and Moments That Made Easter Road” that will chart the story of iconic personnel and moments that have occurred in Leith, beginning with our 9-1 victory over Rosenborg, “… No More” detailing our record at grounds that no longer exist which will start with a look at our record at the original Cathkin Park, and “Looking Back” will be a player interview from our previous match.
There will be different content in league and cup programmes, as there has been in previous seasons, with cup programmes including the feature “Hibs On Tour” and chronicles our travels on tours of countries, and, courtesy of Jim Rendall, we have a unique five-page feature for Thursday’s programme on football in the Faroe Islands. League programmes will include the feature “It’s A Classic” – detailing our classic kits from years gone by.
The Club would like to thank our contributors Richard Payne, James Delaney, Tom Wright, John Hislop, Stuart Storar, Alan Rennie and Cameron Allan for producing content for The Hibee.
Make sure you pick up your copy of the new-look programme this Thursday ahead of the match against NSÍ Runavík!
