Midfielder Danny Swanson has left Hibernian after his contract was cancelled by mutual consent.

The 31-year-old joined the Club from St Johnstone in the summer of 2017 following Hibs’ promotion back into the top-flight of Scottish football.

Danny featured 21 times in all competitions for Neil Lennon’s side during the 2017/18 campaign and scored in the Betfred Cup Quarter Final at home to Livingston, helping the side reach the last four of the competition, with injury restricting his involvement with the team.

This season, the attacking-midfielder played four times for the club and featured in our UEFA Europa League run and the opening two league matches of the campaign.

Everyone at Hibernian would like to thank Danny for his services to the club and wish him nothing but the best for the future.
