17. Why has there not been any consultation with the fans over the new stand?

There was intensive consultation via fans forums in 2007, when a vast number of issues relating to the new East Stand were discussed with and communicated to supporters. Additionally, at the AGM last October, the Chairman provided an update on the East Stand build process, outlining that the Club would be going to the market to determine prices and investigate funding. That process has been completed, and was successful, resulting in the start of the build. Due to the sensitive commercial nature of such a project, the Club could not announce any updates on the process until it had been concluded. The dates for further fans forums in March 2010 will be announced shortly.

18. Why are you building the East Stand in the middle of the season?

Due to the length of time it will take to build the new stand, supporters would have to be relocated no matter when the building process was started. With the build programme starting in March, more than half the build will be undertaken over the close season, with as minimal an impact on the playing season as possible, and the new East Stand being ready for the early part of next season. Matches will still be able to be played at the Stadium.

19. Is the pitch being improved as part of the build?

Yes. Significant works will be undertaken in the close season to fit the new Stadium configuration and to meet UEFA Guidelines. Some minor work will be required in the West Stand to allow the planned works on the pitch, any supporters affected will be contacted in advance of next season.

19. Will the Stadium be ready for the start of the new season / close season friendlies / potential European fixtures in the summer? When will I get my new seat?

The East Stand will be ready during the early part of next season. Until it is ready, relocated supporters will remain in the seats they are moved to over the next few weeks. The pitch and Stadium will be available for fixtures to be played when the new season begins.
