After starting his football development at PSV Eindhoven, Yves joined the Chelsea Youth side in July 2003.
Had a brief spell on loan at Watford and made the Chelsea first team squad for a Champions League match.Brought to Hibernian by John Collins in 2007, Ma-Kalambay has gone on to make 55 first-team appearances for the Easter Road side, with a healthy 20 of these ending in shut-outs.
Has appeared for Belgium at Under-21 level and represented his country at the Olympic Games in 2008.
