Apromising young midfielder, Welsh - a lifelong Hibernian fan - has progressed through the club's youth ranks and featured in the pre-season friendlies against Dunfermline and Queen of the South, but his season was disrupted by injury. He spent the latter stages of the 2010/2011 season on loan at Stirling Albion.
The Leither, who went to school next to Easter Road, signed a new two year contract with the club in the summer of 2011.
