150 Years Of Hibernian Football Club
The 2025/26 campaign will mark a historic milestone for the Club and we are excited to commence our official countdown to our 150th Anniversary celebration.
The Club are currently working hard to ensure a fitting celebration is created that respects our rich history, honours our cultural heritage and continues to build the Hibernian Football Club legacy.
Throughout the duration of the 2025/26 campaign, the Club will host a range of different events, projects, and initiatives to mark and celebrate the occasion with all our supporters.
As part of the 150th celebration, there will be something for everyone. Our calendar of events has been shaped by our supporters – with fan consultations, supporter surveys, and engagements with wider groups shaping the plans for our landmark year.

Hibernian Football Club's 150th Anniversary will officially commence on Wednesday 6 August, 2025. The countdown has begun, join us in looking forward to celebrating 150 years of our great Club!
150th Kits & Merchandise
Our 150th kit range, in conjunction with our Technical Partner Joma, will be released throughout the 2025/26 campaign, keep an eye out on Hibernian FC social channels to be the first to view the kits this summer!
Hibernian vs Rot-Weiss Essen
As part of our 150th Anniversary celebrations, we are thrilled to mark the 70th anniversary of Hibernian FC becoming the first British team to play in the European Cup by recreating our historic 1955 fixture against Rot-Weiss Essen with a special pre-season friendly at Easter Road on Wednesday 9 July 2025.

Special Events
As part of our year-long celebrations, we are thrilled to announce a series of special events throughout the 2025/26 season, including the Official Hibernian FC 150th Anniversary Gala Dinner at Edinburgh Castle in early 2026, with more exciting occasions to be revealed.
The 150 Fund
Fans who wish to support the Club’s 150th Anniversary can contribute to the newly created ‘150 Fund’ with Capital Credit Union, where every donation will go directly to anniversary projects and be matched by the Gordon Family up to £50,000.
'150 FOR 150'
Community outreach has been at the heart of Hibernian FC since 1875, shaping Leith, Edinburgh, and beyond, and to mark our 150th anniversary, the ‘150 for 150’ project will share our rich history with 150 schools and community groups in partnership with the Hibernian Community Foundation and the Hibernian Historical Trust.
