We are delighted to announce that Chris Cadden has penned a new deal with Hibernian FC!
The 25-year-old has agreed a contract extension which will see him remain at Easter Road until the summer of 2025.
‘Cadds’ was in fine form last season and was rightly named Player of the Year at the Club’s 21/22 Annual Awards event. He was ever-present for the Hibees, scoring three and setting up three up for his teammates.
After joining in January 2021 from MLS side Columbus Crew SC, the right-back has made 51 appearances for the Club to date.
Alongside his ability on the pitch, Chris Cadden is a model professional and a great character in the dressing room.
After signing a new deal, Chris Cadden said: “I’m delighted to sign a new deal at a really big club like Hibs, a club that really feels like home for me now.
“I was honoured to win Player of the Season last year and I think everyone can see how much I’m enjoying my football, but also how my own game is progressing.
“You can see how the Football Club is progressing both on and off the pitch and there’s an overriding feeling that there’s a real vision here; that’s something that excites me.”
Hibernian FC Manager Lee Johnson added: “Not only is Chris a very good right-back, he’s the perfect cultural fit for us at Hibs.
“He’s a player that I believe is coming into the prime of his career and is a really good place to kick on and play the best football of his career.”
