Communication and Content Changes

After reviewing our communications and content output since the start of the 2021/22 campaign, we’re making a number of changes that we’d like to share with our supporters.

Written Publications

That starts with our matchday programme. We used the international break to analyse the readership, downloads, and purchases of each edition and have made a decision to no longer continue with these in their current format.

We do, however, understand that there is a section of our supporters, currently and historically, that like to purchase written publications from us. With this in mind, we’ve come up with an alternative and will produce a 100-page quarterly magazine.

The magazine will attempt to bring you closer to the club, our players, our staff, and aim to give you a great insight into Hibernian FC.

We aspire to print the first edition in January 2022 and we will provide all supporters who have purchased the printed programmes so far this season, from Curtis Sport, the first one free of charge.

More details on the quarterly magazine will be released in due course.

Equally, we will produce a number of new features on hibernianfc.co.uk, so make sure you check that out! We’re hoping that it’ll provide you with all your content needs ahead of a matchday.

Podcasts

A big incentive for us as a department is to give you as much of an insight into the workings at HTC and Hibernian FC as possible.

So, with this in mind, we’re launching our very own Spotify channel, which will house two club podcasts.

Listen to Inside Training on Spotify by clicking here

Starting with the brand-new ‘Inside Training’ podcast. We will pick the brains of Jack Ross, our coaching staff, and players to understand how they work, prepare for training, more about their backgrounds and their careers.

The first Inside Training podcast is with Jack Ross, who honestly looks back on his career, talks us through his tactics, training methods and how he prepares for a matchday with his coaching team.

We hope this monthly podcast, which will be available on YouTube and Spotify, will give you the inside track on your club, as well as a unique insight into top level coaching, leadership and sports mentality.

The second podcast is The Hibee Buzz, something we’ve made changes to. The Hibee Buzz will now run monthly, again on Spotify and YouTube, and will look at topical stories, events, and themes around the club.

Unsurprisingly, the highest performing Hibee Buzz’s were the ones with our CEO Ben Kensell and Owner Ronald J Gordon. With this in mind, we hope to bring regular features, like those, to you and shine more of a light on historical elements of the club.

You can expect to see the first edition of the new Hibee Buzz ahead of our game against Celtic!

Video Platforms

We realise we have a number of different platforms where you can consume Hibernian FC content, especially on the video side, so we thought we’d break it all down for you.

But before we do that, we just wanted to highlight a couple of new features that’ll be coming your way.

Sticking with Inside Training, to complement the podcast, we will be taking our cameras inside training sessions, and hopefully mic’ing up some of our coaches, to get you as close as possible to the action. We will show you goalkeeper sessions with Craig Samson, inside training drills with Jack Ross, John Potter and David Gray, as well as much more.

We hope to bring you these bi-weekly, the first episode coming soon!

Who doesn’t love a classic match, right? Well, we’re bringing those back on YouTube for you to watch.

We also know the O’Connors Derby Tales feature was a popular one, so that type of content won’t stop!
