Promising midfielder Allan Delferrière has joined FC Edinburgh on a season-long loan.
The talented 20-year-old defender joined the Hibees earlier this year from Standard Liège and has been an impressive figure in Steve Kean’s Development Squad since his arrival.
Allan made his First Team debut in our final match of the 2021/22 campaign during our 4-0 win over St Johnstone. The Belgian also featured on our pre-season tour in Portugal and got more minutes under his belt in our final pre-season friendly against Norwich City.
Delferrière will now join cinch League 1 side, FC Edinburgh, to further his development and get more regular First Team minutes.
Delferrière will continue to play and train with the Hibernian FC Development Squad during his time at FC Edinburgh, and the Club have an option to recall the defender in January, should we wish to do so.
This further enhances the partnership with FC Edinburgh and fills the quota of loan players with the cinch League 1 side.
Speaking to hibernianfc.co.uk Academy Director Steve Kean, commented:
Academy Director Steve Kean commented: “Our priority for Allan was gaining him regular minutes and consistency in his game-time.
“With him potentially playing twice a week – once with the Development Squad and once with FC Edinburgh – he will constantly be pushing himself and working towards impressing in a game situation.
“FC Edinburgh will provide a good standard of competitive football and the fact he’s got Jack Brydon and EJ with him will help him make a smooth transition. He will also continue to work closely with us, so we can develop his game and watch how he develops.”
Everyone at Hibernian FC wishes Allan the best of luck on his new move.
