Hibernian Women can confirm that Gabby English has formally announced her retirement from football.
The American goalkeeper has called time on her playing career after spending a year in the capital, joining the club from Orlando Pride last summer.
A dominant and commanding presence in the box, English quickly became a popular member of the dressing room, striking up a positive relationship with the Hibs Women supporters.
English calls time on her career having made 26 appearances in all competitions for Hibs, keeping 12 clean sheets in the process.
On her retirement, English said, “I couldn’t have asked for a better club to end my career with. Thank you Hibees for welcoming me with open arms and for being my home away from home!
I will miss the people that make up this club and the great fans of Hibernian!
Everyone at Hibernian Women would like to thank Gabby for her efforts over the past year and wish her all the best in her retirement.
