Supporters will be able to receive a Covid vaccination on Thursday (July 22) ahead of our Europa Conference League game against FC Santa Coloma.
This is part of NHS Lothian’s Summer of Football campaign that continues to see walk-up Covid-19 vaccination units being put up outside the region’s football stadiums on match days.
Following the success of the first pop-up vaccination centre at Easter Road, another will be introduced this Thursday!
The vaccination team will be on hand at Easter Road between 3pm and 7.45pm.
All over-18s are encouraged to attend the pop-up clinics and be vaccinated! They can receive their first or second dose (provided they received the first dose more than eight weeks ago) of the vaccine.
Pfizer second dose vaccinations are not available at the pop-up clinics. This is due to the way Pfizer needs to be stored and handled. Second doses of the Pfizer vaccine are still available at all mass vaccination clinics.
No appointment necessary.
Pat Wynne, Director of Community Nursing, NHS Lothian, said: “We have already had two very successful pop-up clinics taking place ahead of football fixtures, which welcomed both football fans and members of the community alike.
“I am delighted that we are able to offer this additional pop-up clinic at Hibernian football club and look forward to welcoming as many people as possible as they receive their life-saving jab.
“Whether you going to the football match or taking a quick break from work, we are making it as easy as possible to come forward for vaccination.
“While these units are being put in place to primarily target football fans, they are also community resources, and I would encourage anyone in the local areas to come and visit the clinics and get their vaccine.”
