Harry Clarke is “absolutely buzzing” to get started with Hibernian FC after agreeing an 18-month loan deal from Arsenal.
It’s been a whirlwind few days for the attack-minded defender who left Ross County and joined the Hibees.
The 20-year-old explained to Hibs TV what it’s been like for him and how excited he is to start with us.
“I’m absolutely buzzing. It’s an incredibly club to be at. It’s only just sunk in,” smiled the 20-year-old.
“I’m here, meeting everyone, beautiful facilities, and I’m buzzing to be here.
“I had to finish things with Ross County the right way because it’s an amazing club. It’s only just sinking in that I’m coming to a club of this stature, and I’m really pleased to be here.”
Clarke has been virtually ever-present for Ross County this season and actually made his debut for the club at Easter Road!
He explained why he made the decision to join Hibs when he was gaining regular football in the highlands.
“The size of the club, a big stadium and playing in-front of more fans,” said Harry.
“I had a chat with the manager and that enticed me even more, you know, the way he wants to play football, I think it suits my game.
“Straight away you could tell he was very intelligent in terms of football, he knows the way he wants to play, he was passionate about winning, and for me that was enough.”
Hibs currently sit 5th in the cinch Premiership, but what does the talented defender want to achieve in Edinburgh?
“Personally, I want to keep ticking games off. Game time is so valuable to me, so I want to keep playing. I want to get some clean sheets too.
“For the Club, Europe, I want to chase third place down and see where we can go from there.”
