Hibernian Women 2021/22 Squad Update

With Hibernian Women’s pre-season well underway and our first competitive fixture around the corner, Dean Gibson’s squad is shaping up nicely going into the 2021/22 season.

The end of last season saw the Hibees go from strength to strength in both performances and results as we secured fourth spot in the SWPL 1 - built on strong foundations across the pitch. This base has been carried forward into the new season with no player departures over the summer.

As soon as the season gets underway this weekend, you’ll have the opportunity to cheer on Emily Mutch, Shannon Leishman, Amy Muir, Siobhan Hunter, Leah Eddie, Carla Boyce, Katie Rice, Eilidh Adams, Shannon McGregor, Colette Cavanagh, Amy Gallacher, Ellis Notley, Joelle Murray, Ria McCafferty, Rachael Boyle, Addie Handley and Kirsty Morrison - who we’re all delighted to have in the green and white for another season.

To add to this, a number of new signings have arrived at the club from abroad and within the league, showcasing the club’s commitment to continue to challenge at the top end of the league and cup competitions. These new arrivals also reinforce the club’s desire to nurture young talent and provide supporters with an exciting team to watch on the pitch.

We’ve been thrilled to welcome Gabby English, Toni Malone, Michaela McAlonie, Erin Rennie, Alexa Coyle and Lucy Ronald to HTC this summer.

Exciting young talent, Rosie Livingstone, who featured in a number of our matchday squads last season, as well as securing her first competitive senior goal, will continue her development within the HFC Girls Academy.

Eve Donald will also join Glasgow Women on loan for the season where she will play alongside Lucy Ronald.

Unfortunately, despite the prior announcement last year, Emma Heikkilä will no longer be joining the squad due to external circumstances. We’d like to wish Emma all the best and thank her for her time being a Hibee from afar.

With plenty of new faces, alongside familiar stars, and a new kit, join us this Sunday as we begin our defence of the SWPL Cup with a home tie against Kilmarnock at Volunteer Park. Secure your tickets here.
