Micky McAlonie was delighted with the Hibees effort as they came out 2-1 victors over Hearts in the Capital Cup.
McAlonie was pleased with Hibs’ overall performance and believes the side’s hard work on the training pitch is making a positive impact.
Speaking after the derby, Micky said:
“The girls and I are delighted. Our hard work on and off the pitch has been outstanding. The last couple of weeks we’ve been showing how good we are and how much of a threat we are going forward. It paid off today.”
A second-half brace from Jorian Baucom sealed the three points and it was a second-half perofmance to be proud of.
“It was hard for us. We didn’t start how we wanted to start and they were better going forward.
“We dug deep and footballs a game of two halves. We came out in the second half and I’m so proud of us all.
“Anything can happen in a Derby. scoring one goal isn’t enough so to get two today was brilliant. Jorian is so clinical and we left everything out on the pitch today.”
