Nick Montgomery can’t wait for his side to play in-front of the Hibernian FC supporters at Easter Road after a few weeks away.
The Hibees take on Kilmarnock in the cinch Premiership on Saturday, 3pm kick-off, our first game back at Easter Road since Halloween.
When speaking to Hibs TV ahead of this one, Montgomery explained how eager he is to put on a good showing for the Hibs supporters.
“I’m really happy to be back at Easter Road after a few games away. I love being there, the boys love playing there, and we love seeing the fans filling the stadium.
“We’re looking forward to putting on a good performance tomorrow against a well-organised, direct, physical team.”
Monty’s first game as Hibernian FC Head Coach was away at Kilmarnock, in a game that ended 2-2. An own goal and Dylan Vente gave the Hibees the lead, however, the hosts clawed that back late in the second half.
“Going back to our last game at Kilmarnock they were well-organised, physical, very direct and put you under a lot of pressure with balls from wide areas and set pieces,” detailed our Head Coach. We will have to deal with that.
“We played well against them last time but dropped two points. We want to learn from that and look forward to the game.”

The Hibees are looking to return back to winning ways this weekend, and turning positive performances into three points.
“The performances have been good, but it’s moments in the game that have meant we haven’t got the results we’ve deserved,” admitted Montgomery.
“Call it street smart, game management or just seeing the game out. Sometimes in those moments decision making has been wrong, and we know in football you can be sucker punched, and we’ve had that a few times.
“What I love about these boys is their character. We get a setback, we come in the next day, and you can see everyone’s frustrated and hurting. But as soon as we get onto the training ground, we move on quickly and prepare for the next one.
“It’s been positive the last few days knowing this is a good opportunity to get a good result in front of our home fans.”
