Jack Brydon has signed a new contract and joined cinch League 2 side Edinburgh City on loan for the remainder of the season.
The young defender has put pen-to-paper on a new deal that will see his contract run until the summer of 2023. We also have a further option to extend his deal by another year.
This is the latest spell on loan for the 18-year-old who continues to experience regular senior men’s football.
The central defender, who has been involved in some of our matchday squads earlier this season, spent the first half of campaign impressing at Civil Service Strollers in the Lowland League and has now made the step up to the fourth-tier of Scottish football.
Jack will join Innes Murray, who’s been on loan at Edinburgh City since the start of the current season. The 23-year-old attacking midfielder has made eight appearances for Edinburgh City so far, scoring five goals and setting up two for his teammates.
The pair will be looking to help Gary Naysmith’s side challenge at the top of cinch League 2. They currently sit fourth with 25 points from 18 games.
Alongside playing games and training for Edinburgh City, the pair will continue to work at HTC to aid their development and be available for Steve Kean’s Development Squad games.
