Club Legend, Pat Stanton was joined by current Hibernian first-teamer and Scotland international, Chris Cadden at Sighthill to officially launch Grilla Energy’s nationwide partnership with Powerleague – one of the UK’s leading small-sided football pitch operators.

Stanton, who made nearly 400 league appearances with the Club and captained the side in their 1972 League Cup triumph, cut the ribbon on the newly branded Grilla Energy pitch at the Powerleague venue.

Grilla Energy partnered with Hibernian FC earlier this year, with bespoke Hibs branded cans now stocked at the stadium – their new partnership with Powerleague will see bespoke Powerleague branded Grilla cans stocked in 32 of their venues across the UK.

Grilla will also be utilising their relationship with the Club to reward top scoring teams at Poweleague’s in Scotland with Hibernian FC merchandise, tickets and experiences as part of their ‘Golden Goal’ competition which will also be rolled out at venues across the UK. Further details on the Golden Goal initiative will be available on Powerleague’s socials channels in the coming weeks.

Andrew Bishop, Commercial Director of Grilla Energy, said: This is one of our most exciting partnerships to date, since our launch to market our goal has been to support active team sport, help grow grass roots and encourage a healthy balance in life through various sports. In partnership with Power league we can help build the experience and community when consumers come to compete, socialise or be a spectator. We are very excited to get started with our Grilla Golden goal competition and will be hopefully enhancing teams performances all across the UK!”

Christian Rose, CEO of Powerleague, added: "We are delighted to partner with Grilla Energy and launch their product and the Golden Goal competition to our customers. We look forward to working collaboratively to provide our customers with more unforgettable activations and experiences’’.
