We can confirm that Paul McGinn has left the Club by mutual consent to allow the player to take up an opportunity elsewhere.
The 31 year-old departs with the best wishes of everyone at Hibernian FC.
The defender made 91 appearances during his two-and-a-half years at Easter Road, scoring on six occasions, and he also served as vice captain during the 2021/22 season.
On the move, McGinn said: “I’m really pleased to get this sorted and glad that Hibs were helpful in getting this over the line, as these things can sometimes drag on.
“It was important to me to be playing regularly and this is a great opportunity for myself.
“I’ve loved my time at Hibs. I’ve worked with and met the best of people. It’s an amazing club."
McGinn had signed a one-year extension on his contract earlier this month that was triggered by appearances last season. This move now frees up funds for the Club to invest in other areas of the First Team squad.
Hibernian would like to thank Paul for his service and wish him the best for the future.
