Our U18 Development Squad are in action on Friday night at HTC as they host Celtic U18s in the Scottish Youth Cup Quarter Finals.
The match will take place at HTC on Friday 28 January, kick-off at 7:15pm.
There are several key players to look out for in Gareth Evans and Steve Kean's Development Squad, including Murray Johnson, Kanayo Megwa, Josh O’Connor, and Oscar MacIntyre who have all impressed this season for the development side and been involved in First Team training sessions.
Despite a relatively stop-start season so far in terms of fixtures, the Wee Hibees remain unbeaten in all competitions and will be looking to book their place in the semi-finals of the competition with a win against Celtic on Friday night.
We are yet to concede a goal in the Scottish Youth Cup so far. After receiving a bye in the first round, we comfortably saw off Montrose in the second round with a resounding 7-0 victory at HTC.
In the third round the Wee Hibees made the trip to across the city to take on Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale and once again made light work of their opponents with a 5-0 win.
Up next, Celtic U18's at HTC. The Hoops have beaten East Fife (5-0) Partick Thistle (4-3) and Ross County (6-0) in the first three rounds on the road to the quarter-finals.
We have played Celtic twice this season, the first a 0-0 stalemate back in September. Our second meeting took place in early December 2021 - Freddie Wylie’s goal on the stroke of half-time was enough to earn Hibs a vital 1-0 win in the league.
