The wee Hibees are in CAS Elite Youth League duty on Thursday evening as they travel to Hamilton Academical.
The game will take place tomorrow (Thursday 16 November, 2023) and kick-off at 7pm at New Douglas Park.
Darren McGregor's side will be hoping to get back to winning ways after a disappointing 3-0 defeat against St Mirren last weekend.
Over the last couple of weeks McGregor has had to select a younger side – one that’s mainly made up of Under-15 players – due to youngsters moving into the First Team setup, injuries, and international call-ups.
Prior to the last couple of results, our U18s made a decent start to their league campaign, which caught the eye of Nick Montgomery and earned a number of our wee Hibees opportunities in the First Team.
Hamilton are our hosts, and this will be the second time our youngsters have faced them this season. Back in August we shared the spoils with Hamilton as the game finished 2-2. Hibs saw themselves two goals to the good after the first period courtesy of goals from Dean Cleland and Rory Whittaker. However, the visitors fought back in the second half after the wee Hibees were reduced to 10-men and ended up claiming a share of the spoils in the end.
