We had to settle for a point in Paisley after Joe Shaughnessy's late equaliser cancelled off Josh Campbell's second half strike - his first goal for the club.

"We were all disappointed not to win the game but the performance was much better today. We wanted three points but it was important that we put in a performance and didn’t lose the game.

"There is a lot of work to be done. We want to win every game, we have another big game on Tuesday (at home to Dundee) before heading to Hampden on Sunday."

Caretaker Manager David Gray took charge of the team in today's 1-1 draw and Murphy was full of praise for the way he prepared the team.

"Everyone has a lot of respect for Dave, he is a legend of this club. He was club captain until six months ago so we all have that immediate respect for him.

"We all listened to what he had to say today, there were a few things different tactically and a few new ideas and by and large they worked. David, Eddie (May) and Craig (Samson) all came in and did a great job."

Murphy has featured in our last five matches, scoring the winner in a 2-1 victory over St Johnstone in November. With some big games coming up in the next few weeks, the forward was pleased to get some more minutes under his belt.

"The more minutes on the pitch I can get the better. I feel like I have had a good six weeks then get injured, then another good six weeks and the same thing happens again. Its good to get more minutes in the tank, especially with big games coming up.

"You want to play every game, but the biggest thing for everyone is to win games. Whether that is coming off the bench, starting or scoring it is all about helping the team in any way I can."
