Radio Forth’s Mission Christmas has been set up to ensure that local children who are at risk of receiving nothing on Christmas morning will wake up to a visit from Santa! They have been asking for either gift or monetary donations to make this happen.

Hearing of their campaign, we were quick to show our support by donating 1,300 tickets for our game against Livingston at Easter Road at the end of January.

Following the generosity of local people, businesses, and the Hibees, the Mission Christmas campaign has been able to provide gifts for 288,715 children across the local area.

Hibernian FC’s Commercial Director Greg McEwan commented: “For us it’s absolutely vital that we support young people in the local community and know how important it is that children wake up to a present from Santa.

“Radio Forth’s Mission Christmas has been a real success and will make a huge difference this Christmas.

“I’m delighted that we’ve been able to support them and make a difference in the community, and we can’t wait to welcome so many young people at watch us at Easter Road.”
