Cadden put in another excellent shift down the right flank, playing a big part in Kevin Nisbet’s first half goal, before adding a crucial goal of his own in the second half to wrap up all three points at Tannadice .

“I loved the game today , it was a big one for us - when you are playing teams round about you in the league it is always important. It massive win for us and I really enjoyed it.

The strike was Cadden’s first goal for the club since arriving in January 2021 – a moment which he cherished.

“You can tell from my reaction it was a great moment. I loved it.

“It has been a long time coming so it was nice to chip in with a goal but the three points was the most important thing for the team.

“Boyle did great getting through 1 on 1 and he cut it back for me. I was aiming for the far post and luckily for us it went in.”

Cadden has started both games under new manager Shaun Maloney, featuring on the right hand side as a wing back. He told us how influential the new manager has been on the players since joining at the start of the week.

“Shaun has played and coached at top level, so it is great for us as players. I am just trying to be a sponge and learn as much as I can off him.

“We have not really had as much time on the training pitch due to the number of games we have had. But everything Shaun has said has been great, all the boys have really taken to his methods and it is a pleasure to play in the team.”
