Our unbeaten start to the 2021/22 campaign came to an end just before the October international break after we fell to defeat to Rangers.
But after a couple of weeks of rest, recuperation, and hard work on the training pitch, Ross’ side are determined to put that result right and go on another excellent run of form.
“We’ve had a good working week ahead of Dundee United, albeit with a fragmented squad due to international duty.
“We were pleased and proud with the record we had at the start of the season.
“We were disappointed to lose our unbeaten record domestically and now we want to start another run.
“The one thing I’ve been pleased about this season is our home form, the only blip was the late equaliser against St Mirren.
“Dundee United will be tough opponents, but the players are enjoying playing at Easter Road at the moment. They are enjoying the new surface which was put down at the start of the season; they’ve shown that in the performances at the start of the season.”
An excellent first half performance saw us blow Dundee United away in the quarter-finals of the Premier Sports Cup earlier this season.
Ross detailed how that result has helped him learn more about the Terrors.
“You can prepare through footage and watch them as much as you can but first-hand experience really helps.
“Dundee United had a new manager so that game taught us more about their strengths and weaknesses.
“There’s a repetition in certain aspects of our preparation around the aspects where we can affect the game.
“Equally, the little bits we need to prepare for it’s helped us having that experience at Tannadice. We will try and replicate that performance and the result.”
