Celtic are our opponents for the game under the lights at what should be a sold out Easter Road.
It’s a busy week of fixtures with three games in just eight days, but that’s something that Ross and his players relish, especially when they’re looking to return to form.
“I enjoy it and I enjoy the challenge over the preparation for it and then when you’ve had a disappointing result, you want the next game to come around quickly and we’ve got that with our game Wednesday evening.
“They’re always big games when we play one of the bigger teams in the league at home midweek under the lights; they are always tough occasions. We always need that type of atmosphere in the stadium, and we have to then produce a performance that helps encourage that.
“It’s a game that individual players and the group are looking forward to and desperate to produce a team performance that is more in line with what we’ve done in the past year and a half to two years.
“It’s about staying true to that and believing that if you do so and get the fundamental parts of the game right then we will get back to winning games quickly.”
Celtic currently sit one place above us in the cinch Premiership, but have been in good form on late. Ross gave his thoughts on how they’ve faired this season.
“There has been a consistency about how they have tried to play and the style in which they have tried to play, and we are well rehearsed on that and prepared for it.
“To be braver in possession in terms of what we do when we’re in possession to allow people on the ball and to brave enough to pass it as well as we did for the last parts of the season to date.
“If we do those things the game will be open and in the past, I’ve said it suits us a team, but we need to capitalise on that. It’s okay being open but you must take advantage of it.”
Jack Ross also expressed how important our fans will be on Wednesday night.
“It’s huge, that’s because having fans back in the stadium and having our fans with us home and away, and on Saturday as well, they give us terrific backing.
“But we need them to stick with us, we will need them on Wednesday night because it’s a tough game. We are more than capable to win it and that’s the belief and objective for us.”
